Rejoice, for Gardens by the Bay is back with another edition of Christmas Wonderland!
For the uninitiated, Christmas Wonderland is an annual event held by Gardens by the Bay, where the entire park is transformed into a fantastical site celebrating the magic of the season!
Visitors can enjoy the sheer visual spectacle of the many Christmas light installations scattered throughout, as well as browse festive kiosks for unique souvenirs and gifts. Christmas Wonderland 2021 will take place from 3 Dec to 2 Jan, from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm daily. In light of COVID-19 safety precautions, admissions will be staggered according to timeslots. There are four sessions per day, starting from 6:30 pm, with an hour’s gap in between.
Ticket prices range from $7 to $10 per adult. It costs $5 per child (from 3 to 12 years old).
For adults, visit on or before 16 Dec and you only need to pay $7. After 16 Dec, though, ticket prices will go up to $9.
Note that these rates only apply to online bookings. If you decide to purchase your tickets at the counter, you’ll have to pay $10. Also, you may not be able to enter the event, if maximum capacity has been reached. Hence, it is better to book your tickets online in advance, if possible.
One more thing to note: Christmas Wonderland 2021 tickets do not grant entry into the Conservatories, nor the Supertree Observatory. If you wish to visit these attractions, you’ll need to purchase tickets for them separately.
The biggest attraction at Christmas Wonderland has got to be the spectacular, world-renowned light displays that must simply be seen to be believed. This year, there are a grand total of nine of these scintillating light displays, each made of thousands of glittering fairy lights for a sight like no other.
Some of the highlights include the crowd-favourite Walk of Stars, a 44m long tunnel formed out of star-shaped LED lights. There’s also the 7.7m tall Enchanted Bridge made up of a staggering 100,000 fairy lights – sure to be a breathtaking sight and perfect photo opportunity.
Other installations you can visit include the 20.5m tall Spalliera, Magical Carriage, Ornament Balls and Santa’s Sleigh.
La Casa di Santa Claus
And of course you can’t have Christmas without jolly ole St Nicholas himself, so Christmas Wonderland 2021 has set up a beautiful castle for you to meet Santa Claus in person.
Head over to La Casa di Santa Claus, a candescent canopy crowned with hundreds of twinkling lights, and you just might spot Father Christmas checking his list. Grab a quick selfie or two with him before he goes delivering presents again!
Mistletoe Alley Market
